CITÉ INTERNATIONALE UNIVERSITAIRE DE PARIS. 2003
Outdoor Signage
One of the imperatives of the identification intervention in the place was to reaffirm the contemporary, lively and dynamic dimension of the place. It was necessary to both value this architectural and urban heritage and make the city accessible to all; Orient, educate students and visitors in a complex site, where many buildings and green spaces alternate. Concrete was one of the first biases to anchor strong elements, more sculptures than furniture, on the ground. At the centre of the Cours d'Honneur planted with boxwood, a giant concrete ring fits perfectly. In addition, three large sails moored on masts of 7 meters high, indicate the programmes of the theatre, concerts and exhibitions. The typeface emphasizes the unique multicultural aspect of the university city with its writings from the five continents.
